About Forward Guyana Movement
The Forward Guyana Movement is a bold new coalition uniting three distinct forces for change: Forward Guyana (FG), The People’s Movement (TPM), and the Vigilant Political Action Committee (V-PAC). Together, we bring forward visionary leadership committed to transforming how politics works in Guyana.
Led by Amanza Walton Desir, Nigel Nyambe London, and Dorwain Bess, this Movement stands for integrity, opportunity, and genuine progress for every Guyanese. We reject old cycles of division and broken promises — and instead put people at the centre of national development.
Our symbol — The Wheel — represents our commitment to progress, unity, and balanced growth. Like the invention that moved civilisation forward, our Wheel reminds us that Guyana’s future depends on collective momentum and shared responsibility. With Guyana at its heart, the Wheel’s spokes highlight our unwavering pillars: our people, our environment, our sovereignty, our governance, and our economy.
Together, we invite all Guyanese — young and old, urban and rural — to help turn the Wheel of Change. The time to build a fairer, stronger, more dignified Guyana is now.

OUR SYMBOL – THE WHEEL
Our choice of the Wheel as our symbol, is the result of deep reflection about our mission and the fundamental shifts that we are bringing to politics and governance in Guyana.
Historically, the invention of the Wheel is widely considered one of the most significant achievements in human development because it revolutionised transportation, machinery, and engineering and laid the foundation for progress in agriculture, trade, and industry. For the archeologically inclined, the invention of the Wheel is ranked up there with the control of fire, the development of language, writing, agriculture, and electricity.
For us, the Wheel is a symbol of Progress and Movement – it represents the dynamism and evolution that Guyana needs in order to advance our collective, cooperative cause.
The Wheel symbolises Unity and Wholeness – its circular shape signifying inclusivity, completeness, and balance – all essential for a national community in which we foresee interdependence of all parts, public and private.
At the centre of our Wheel is Guyana – our reason for being; our focus; the source our inspiration and energy. Guyana, the nation that we have pledged to love and build, all the days of our lives, for this and future generations, so that every Guyanese has a stake and a benefit in our success as a nation. The spokes of the Wheel represent important pillars for our progress and development as a nation:

Our chosen colour is Royal Purple, which we chose, not because nobody else was using it, but because it is a colour synonymous with Integrity, Dignity, and Vision –three components which are definitely NOT in short supply in the Forward Guyana Movement.
Lastly, you will have noticed that there are two (2) empty spaces, whereas the other three are occupied by the logos of all three (3) coalition partners. Those spaces symbolise our willingness to welcome like-minded groups and persons who satisfy our legal, ethical, political, philosophical and moral pre-conditions – governing Guyana is serious business, and we intend to work with persons and groups of similar disposition.
